Children
Our most precious asset
A large number of young families attend the Church of the Palouse because we provide an excellent religious education program. Our children explore Unitarian Universalist, Christian and Jewish teachings and lessons from all the major world religions. Children learn about social ethics and values, and their own personal spirituality. All our classes, from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, are appropriate for the developmental level of our students. We care about every one of our children. We want them to be so thrilled with what they are learning and who they are with that they look forward all week to coming to church! Children attend the first portion of each service. They then are invited to their religious education classes in our "Yellow House" next to the church. We have a cheerful nursery and two experienced nursery attendants downstairs for very young children. Very young children are also welcome to stay in the sanctuary during the remainder of the service. If your child needs a place to talk, you pick up a headphone for yourself; then you can follow the service either downstairs or in the foyer.
