What’s your fondest memory of Service Auctions past? Performances by the Hot Flashes? Cameo appearances by the Power Tools? How about Roger Wallins and his car coat? Maybe the choir and their clever and unique songs? The UUCP Service Auction is our annual party to raise money for the operating budget of the church. It’s fun, it’s social and everyone is invited to take part. The PPQ is in charge this year, so you know there will be a special spin, most likely purple. Fill your social calendar with interesting events, sign up for special classes, get some help from an expert, pick up a cool vacation week somewhere interesting, find a one-of-a-kind item you didn’t know you needed. It’s a win-win situation.

Live auction:   Experienced auctioneer Pete Klaiber, accompanied by his lovely assistant, Jane Estocin, will lead us through the high-value items that are sure to be in top demand.

Silent auction: You can place written bids for a variety of useful and attractive items, meals, parties and social events, services, classes and other stuff donated by members and friends of the UUCP.

Entertainment: Always interesting. Who knows who will show up this year?

Food and wine provided.

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Offer to auction a meal, as class, a service or an item of value. Fill out the forms and put them in the box in the foyer.
  • Let us know what you might be looking for that someone else could offer.
  • We need help! Volunteer to assist with set up, snacks, clean up, or child care and entertainment. Sign up on the poster in the foyer, or contact Mary Jo Hamilton; she is in the church directory.

See you all April 4!
