Today UUCP volunteers tidy a stretch of highway.

After the morning services, the Social Action Committee will host a casual though focused conversation about statements of conscious and the proposed peacemaking statement of conscious.

The annual Muslim-UUCP picnic this year will be held in Klemgard County Park ten miles north of Pullman Washington at 1:30 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2008. The Muslim community is hosting, and UUCP are providing desserts. More information and a map link will be posted later.

Palouse Pride, the annual gay pride and pro-diversity march and festival, this year will be Saturday, August 2, 2008.

11:00 a.m. staging for the march begins in Friendship Square on Main Street in downtown Moscow, Idaho

11:30 a.m. the march begins, from Friendship Square to East City Park, which is a few blocks east of downtown on 3rd Street

12:00 Noon - 4:00 p.m. Diversity Festival in East City Park, with vendors, information booths, entertainment, raffles, and children's entertainment

6:00 p.m. Spaghetti Feed at the Pullman, Washington, Moose Lodge, corner of Paradise and Kamiaken

9:00 p.m. Doors open at Pullman Moose Lodge for TabiKat Drag Show. $5 in advance at Eclectica, $7 at the door. Shows at 10:30 p.m. and midnight

Community event

An ecumenical food drive table will be at Moscow Farmers Market in Friendship Square, Saturday morning, July 19, 2008. Donated non-perishable foods will go to local food banks. To volunteer to help at the food drive table, contact Mary Jo Hamilton, who is listed in the UUCP directory.
