Highway Cleanup

Another successful highway clean-up took place June 26, 2005. Our stretch of highway 95 is a couple miles south of Potlatch; look for the signs next time you drive that way. Archie George is our contact with the highway department and gets the warning signs and garbage bags. We continue to be shocked by the number beer cans thrown out on the road, but we gathered them up to be recycled. We picked up about 15 bags of garbage, down from the 20 or so we filled when we first started cleaning that stretch of highway. After the clean-up, we gathered at the Schmidt's for root beer floats. A good time was had by all. -- Margaret Dibble
