In the middle of one of the hottest summers in recorded history, Emmanuel Lutheran Church is hosting an ICE CREAM SOCIAL Sunday afternoon, July 15, at 4:30 pm

Solving the Climate Crisis, Bite by Bite
There will be a presentation by Ben Stewart, one of 1000 volunteers from across the country trained by Vice President Al Gore to present the slide show featured in the Academy Award winning film, An Inconvenient Truth. Stewart is a doctoral student in Emory University's Graduate Division of Religion and is Pastor Dean Stewart's son.
The IDEA is to move the debate on climate change beyond a political issue, to a discussion of how to solve it.
This is VALUABLE FOR JUNIOR HIGH AGE AND UP, and includes discussion at the end.
You DON'T HAVE TO WAIT THAT LONG FOR THE ICE CREAM, though. It'll be waiting for you.
