Love Your Planet, Too
The "Love Your Planet, Too" event, sponsored by the UUCP Social Action Committee, will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary, foyer, and basement.
There will be a LOCAL FOOD COOKOFF, with local celebrity judges and great prizes.
There will be a LOCAVORE LOVE POEM, SONG and VISUAL ART JAM, for the expressive among us.
There will be kids events.
There will be speakers from local organizations who will help all of us THINK LOCAL AND SUSTAINABLE in our food and lifestyle choices.
And there will be wine, snacks, music, conversation and fun.
Our First Love Your Planet event in 2006 was a great success, and we are hoping for a lot more fun this year.
