The UUCP celebrated Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday in style on Friday, February 13 , 2009. Darwin himself came to moderate and help judge the Darwin look-alike contest. Janice won the parade of extinct species with her thoughtful rendition of a dodo. The Flint family was given special recognition for outstanding costume efforts. Birthday cakes were plentiful and delicious – you need a lot of cake to support two hundred candles. A good time was had by all. MJH
