Unitarian Universalist Church of the Palouse
Sunday Services

Schedule of Services

The schedule of upcoming Sunday services is published each month in the UUCP newsletter.

About our Sunday Services

The 9:30 a.m. service ends at 10:30 a.m., and the 11:00 a.m. service ends at 12:15 p.m.
Please join us for fellowship downstairs between the services from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., so that we will have an opportunity to get to know you.

Summertime Sunday Services

On summer Sundays there is only one service, starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 11:15 a.m., followed by a fellowship half hour downstairs.

Visitors

Welcome! You can expect a friendly welcome at our church! You'll be greeted in the foyer, invited to sign our guest book, offered a name tag, and directed toward our beautiful sanctuary. Dress is casual and comfortable. You will find a large array of printed information about Unitarian Universalism and about our congregation in the foyer. Please help yourself.

Our services usually begin with a welcome, a hymn, and introductions. Newcomers and guests are invited to introduce themselves, but please do not feel obliged to do so. After the story for all ages, children are invited to their classes in our Yellow House next door. The service continues with an offertory, a variety of excellent music, sharing of our joys and concerns, a period of meditation followed by the sermon, and an opportunity for congregational responses.

Our minister leads half the Sunday services, while the other services are led by lay leaders, guest ministers, and invited speakers.

Sermon Archive

Over the years, we have preserved a few sermons delivered at UUCP in our digital sermon archive. The Sunday Services Committee and the UUCP Web Group currently are making plans to make the archive more comprehensive and systematic.
